This region allows you to select a filter design method:

• IIR methods
• Butterworth (butter)
• Chebyshev Type I (cheby1)
• Chebyshev Type II (cheby2)
• Elliptic (ellip)
• Constrained least Pth-norm
• Least Pth-norm
• FIR methods
• Equiripple (remez)
• Least-Squares (firls)
• Window (fir1)

The methods that you see listed depend on the current selection in the Filter Type region:

• The Pth-norm designs are only available for the Arbitrary Magnitude and Arbitrary Group Delay filter types.
• The Window design is only available for the Lowpass, Highpass, Bandpass, and Bandstop filter type.
