Desktop Toolbar

The toolbar in the MATLAB desktop provides easy access to popular operations. Hold the cursor over a button and a tooltip appears describing the item. Note that some of the tools also have a toolbar within their window.

Current Directory Field

The Current Directory field in the toolbar shows MATLAB's current working directory. You can change the current directory using this field and perform other file operations using the Current Directory browser - for instructions, see File Operations.
