Welcome to Stephanie Rushley's Website!

I am a graduate student at the University of Washington in the Atmospheric Sciences department. I'm working under Dr. Daehyun Kim and Dr. Dargan Frierson. Outside of science I enjoy hiking, swimming, rowing, running, writing, reading, and rock concerts.

Research Interests:

Current Projects:

Examining the changes to the Madden Julian Oscillation (MJO) amplitude, phase speed, time scale, and horizonatal extent in a warming climate using the theory derived by Adames and Kim (2016).

Evaluating the importance of Africa to MJO initiation using the idealized AM2LM2 model with a Africa-like continent and simulated warm pool.

Land Configurable Model:

AM2LM2 is the GFDL AM2.1 version with configurable land. Downloadable here: AM2LM2.tar
