                                or hex group ("wheat1", "153,153,153", "#ffffcc"). Defaults to black.

   "SHAPEFILE":
     This is the layer "type" to use for displaying the content in an ESRI Shapefile.

   "WMS":
     This is the layer "type" to use for displaying the imagery from a Web Map Service.

     Attributes:
       location          = the address of the web service that will return the image, as a
                           Java path of the form "http:" or "https:" (required).
       serviceAttributes = a string containing the required service attribute name and value,
                           and any additional attribute name/value pairs to pass in the request.
       mapType           = an optional "Map" attribute value, required by some WMS servers.
       srs               = an optional "SRS" (Spacial Reference System) value, defaults to "EPSG:none".
       imageFormat       = an optional value specifying the image format returned from the WMS service, defaults to "image/gif".

   "WFS":
     This is the layer "type" to use for WFS layers.
