Standard Installation Procedure
During the installation process, you answer three basic questions:
- Who: Specify your name, your company name, and your license information (PLP)
- What: Select the products and documentation you want to install
- Where: Choose the directory in which you want to install the MathWorks products
The MathWorks Installer program (setup.exe) steps you through the process.
This section provides a brief summary of the installation procedure followed by a detailed step-by-step procedure.
| Note
If you are performing multiple standard installations at your site, do not attempt to "clone" MATLAB installations by copying the MATLAB image from one system to another. The cloned installations will fail because MATLAB associates a license with a particular system.
