Professional development

We host accomplished scientists from various professions, including broadcast meteorology, tech industry, consulting, and government weather services to give guidance to members on their future careers.

AMS Student Conference

Each year, we raise funds to financially support undergraduate members of UWAMS to attend the annual AMS student conference, where they further their professional development.

Social events

Social events are the life of UWAMS! Both graduate and undergraduate members get to interact over bowling, baseball games, pumpkin carving, and many other fun events.

In the field

Every year we host 1-2 major events out in the field, whether to visit the local National Weather Service office or tour wind energy farms.
