Heavy rain will continue to impact the Olympics overnight into

stage, possibly to moderate flood stage.

  The Skokomish River near Potlatch

* From 1 AM Thursday until late Friday night.

* At 11:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 16.2 feet.

* Flood stage is 16.5 feet.

* Moderate flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage around 1 AM 

  Thursday and crest near 17.7 feet around 4 PM Thursday. The river 

  will fall below flood stage Friday evening.

* Impact...At 17.5 feet, the Skokomish River will cause moderate 

  flooding, with deep and quick flood waters inundating some 

  residential areas, many roads, and much of the farm land in the 

  Skokomish Valley. Inundated roads include the Skokomish Valley 

  road, Bourgault Road West, Purdy Cutoff Road, and Highway 106.
